WHO WE ARE

The foundation was established in 1994 to build and advance the economic, vocational and social standard of the Malaysian communities irrespective of race or religion.

In tandem the foundation programs have been to enhance the socio-economic status of certain demographic groups by developing programs to facilitate their empowerment, be it via direct financial assistance or creating opportunities for business activities via skills and aptitude development.

The foundation also played a role in offering welfare/aid to those who were unable to obtain help for some of their basic needs due to their inability to approach the right people or organizations.

THE LATE YBHG. DATUK SERI G. PALANIVEL SMW, DSSA, SSA

The late YBhg. Datuk Seri G. Palanivel was a distinguished Malaysian statesman, community leader, and former Cabinet Minister who dedicated more than three decades to public service and the advancement of the Malaysian Indian community.

He served as a Member of Parliament, Cabinet Minister, and 8th President of the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), championing initiatives in education, socio-economic development, community empowerment, and national unity. Throughout his political career, he was widely respected for his strong grassroots engagement and unwavering commitment to uplifting underserved communities across Malaysia.

A firm believer in inclusive development and social progress, Datuk Seri Palanivel worked tirelessly to create opportunities and strengthen collaboration between government, industry, and civil society. His legacy continues to inspire future generations through his dedication to leadership, public service, and nation-building.

He is remembered as a compassionate leader whose vision, perseverance, and service left a lasting impact on Malaysia and its diverse communities.
